Muskan, a small child with a brilliant mind and big dreams. All her dreams would have been buried. Buried to become someone of her family! Her parents couldn''''t afford food properly, how could they promise her, her very basic right to education.
Yes!, it was poverty, the disease that eats Pakistan day by day and she was also its victim. She would have had the same fate as many if it wasn''''t for TCF. It was TCF who took her hand. It handed over her very right. No doubt she made use of that right. Today she is studying in one of the best universities of Pakistan, IBA Karachi.
“Who said it wasn’t possible?! Everything is possible if we want to!” She said.
As many as 44% children in the age range of 5-16 are still out of school in Pakistan. 21% primary schools in the country are being run by a single teacher while 14% have one room. These bitter facts were revealed in the Pakistan Education Statistic 2015-16 launched by the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS) – a subsidiary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. These statistics paint a gloomy picture, calling for the imposition of real education emergency.
